The short answer

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking scripts of any kind, and it stores nothing in your browser's local or session storage. That is why you have never been asked to accept cookies here. There is nothing to accept.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and hand back on your next visit. Cookies are not inherently sinister. A shopping basket that survives a page refresh is a cookie doing something useful. What makes them a privacy matter is that the same mechanism can identify a device across visits and, when shared with advertising networks, across unrelated websites.

Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay on the device until they expire or you clear them, which is what allows a site, or a third party embedded in it, to recognise you weeks later.

What this website uses

Below are the categories a cookie policy would normally have to disclose, and what paintprotectionfilm.ae actually does with each.

CategoryTypical purposeUsed here
Strictly necessarySessions, logins, shopping baskets, security tokensNone. There is no login or basket on this site
Analytics and performanceGoogle Analytics and similar, measuring visits and behaviourNone. No analytics platform is installed
Advertising and remarketingMeta Pixel, Google Ads tags, audience buildingNone. We run no advertising trackers
PreferenceRemembering language, theme or dismissed bannersNone. Nothing is remembered between visits
Social mediaEmbedded feeds and share widgets that track readersNone. Our social links are plain links

The site is built as a set of pre-rendered pages. Typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from a font provider, so even reading a page does not send a request to a third party on your behalf.

Why there is no cookie banner

Consent banners exist so that a site can ask permission before it stores or reads something on your device that is not strictly necessary. We store nothing, so there is no permission to ask for. Adding a banner anyway would be theatre. It would imply a choice that does not exist and train you to click "accept" without reading.

If we ever introduce anything that does require consent, a banner will appear before that technology loads, not after.

How to verify this yourself

You do not have to take our word for any of this. On a desktop browser it takes about fifteen seconds.

  1. Open any page on paintprotectionfilm.ae.
  2. Press F12 (or Ctrl+Shift+I, or Cmd+Option+I on a Mac) to open developer tools.
  3. Open the Application tab in Chrome or Edge, or Storage in Firefox and Safari.
  4. Look under Cookies, Local Storage and Session Storage for this domain. They will be empty.
  5. For a fuller picture, open the Network tab and reload the page. Every request will be to this domain, and you will not see calls to analytics, advertising or font providers.

If you find something on this list that contradicts what we have written here, please tell us through the contact page. We would want to know, and we would correct this page.

What your browser and our host still do

Two things happen that are outside the scope of cookies but worth stating plainly, because a policy that only lists what is absent is not complete.

Server logs. Requesting a page creates a log entry at our hosting provider containing your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, the page requested and the time. This is generated by the act of delivering a page, is kept for a short rolling period, and is used for security and availability. It is described in full in our Privacy Policy.

Infrastructure cookies. Hosting and content-delivery platforms occasionally set a strictly necessary cookie of their own for load balancing, routing or attack mitigation. We do not configure or rely on any such cookie, and none is used to identify or track you. If you find one, the verification steps above will show it, and we would ask you to report it.

Your own browser also caches pages, images and fonts to make return visits faster. That cache lives on your device, under your control, and is not readable by us.

Other tracking technologies

For completeness, none of the following are used on paintprotectionfilm.ae: tracking pixels or web beacons, fingerprinting scripts, session recording or heatmap tools, A/B testing platforms, chat widgets, embedded third-party video players, or advertising SDKs.

Links to other services

Some pages link out: to WhatsApp so you can message us, to a map so you can find the workshop, to our social profiles. Those are ordinary links: nothing from those services loads until you choose to follow one.

Once you do, you are on someone else's platform, and their cookie and privacy practices apply rather than ours. WhatsApp, for example, is operated by Meta Platforms under its own terms. We have no control over what those services store on your device, and this policy does not cover them.

If this ever changes

If we add analytics, advertising or any other technology that stores or reads data on your device, we will update this page before it goes live, raise the version number at the top, and present a consent request where the law requires one. We will not quietly start tracking under a policy that says we do not.
